To speak [negatively] about a specific individual [in their absence] is considered ninda (slander). The matter is meant to be understood in a general sense. Engaging in ninda is actually a sign of heading towards spiritual downfall (adhogati).

How can the power of speech (vachanbal) be attained? When not even a single word has been used to make fun of others, when not a single word has been used for any selfish motives or for taking things away from others, when speech has not been misused in any way, when one has not spoken merely with the intention that the respect people have for him increases;only for such a person will the power of speech be perfected!

When you experience boredom, that is the time to engage in discovery. That is the time for engaging in Real Purusharth (the spiritual effort to progress as the Self). But at that time, these people are instead pushing the boredom aside!

By exercising your authority [negatively], you will feel depressed. The authority (satta) is to be used only to give happiness to others. The authority is to be used to give happiness to even those who are at fault!

Whatever you have a sense of ownership (swamipanu) over, all of that will eventually oppose you. Ultimately, even at the time of death, everything over which you have asserted your sense of ownership, will end up becoming a source of suffering for you!

As long as one has swaarth (selfish motive), there can never be any harmony. When One attains parmarth (no selfish motive for any relative thing, the only motive is for prevailing in the experience as the Self), that is when He can bring about harmony.

Those who are subject to dying, all of them are considered as none other than sansaari (those who live a worldly life)!

When one's wrong belief is made right, that is when He will be able to See his own faults only, and when he has the wrong belief, he will see the other person's faults.

One is going through life after doing needless egoism, and in the end, he ends up being cremated on the funeral pyre; that is the pitiful state he is in! Moreover, if he is a very good person, he may get sandal-wood for cremation; but that it is still nothing but wood, right! The One who never dies, He is the truly brave One.

What is the worst of all weaknesses? Egoism. Regardless of how virtuous you are, if you have egoism, then that is all useless. In fact, a virtuous person is worthy only if he is humble.

Chastity of conduct (vyavahaar charitra) means one conducts himself in such a way that no woman is hurt by him, he does not look at any woman with a sexual intent.

If you are right, no one will bother you in this world. If you do not hurt anyone in this world, or you have no intention of hurting anyone, then no one can hurt you.
